A NEW INITIATIVE!
"POSSIBLE WORLDS: A GLOBAL INVITATION"
PLAY! A Symposium wants to give children aged 7 - 15 worldwide a way to be seen, to contribute, to add their voices -- regardless of distance. Here's how we hope to do that! By fall 2015, a group of 15 children from committee member Helen Zdriluk's Centre Stage Theatre School in Burlington, ON, will have prepared and videoed their own short 3-minute pretext/invitation based on the theme "Possible Worlds". Their focus is "If we [children] led the world...this...is how we would like it to be..." Their vision is to offer their piece of a puzzle -- and invite groups of children worldwide add their own 3-minute vision -- using whatever conventions they choose, not necessarily using spoken text.
More information on how to send us responses will be posted soon on the WFCT website, but this is the chance for our Symposium to have input from and with children -- for us all, so please pass on the word and let us hear from you!
