On Friday, November 29th, CODE Eastern Regional Coordinator Matthew Sheahan traveled to Napanee to deliver a workshop for elementary teachers from the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board on non-performative techniques in drama and dance, and integration of Indigenous content without appropriation of culture or voice. The participants learned about process drama, games, tableaux, creating movement pieces, and dance strategies such as flocking.
