CODE focused on strategies these emergent educators could readily use in their grade 7/8 practicum currently in progress. While drama and dance are distinct subject areas in their own right, both can also serve as strategies through which a variety of subject areas can be explored. CODE focused on drama and dance instructional approaches that integrated with Language and Literacy, Social Science, and Science curriculum expectations. TCs engaged in embodied experiential learning that investigated themes of sustainability and social responsibility. The sessions also underscored the wealth of opportunities that local resources such as conservation areas can provide for teachers and students in helping students forge real-world connections with science and sustainability topics where they live.  Notes from our UOIT day are now available to CODE members in the Resources section of our website. CODE offers FREE memberships to all Teacher Candidates in the province of Ontario and houses almost 300 resources on our website.
