Standing Committees

Conference
  • usually multiple roles available including developing the call for presenters, contacting vendors, reviewing presenter applications, building the schedule, planning and scheduling promotional materials, managing volunteers or tech needs of presenters, etc.
  • meetings vary between once every few months to once a week depending on timelines, must be available during the conference (usually around the third weekend in October)

Advocacy
  • The Past President is always the Chair of the Advocacy Committee. (Currently: Jane Deluzio pastpresident@code.on.ca)
  • advocacy is the responsibility of every board member and every member at large 
  • there will be a call-out for specific projects and initiatives as they arise
  • self-educate about CODE's advocacy work here
  • please reach out to your Regional Coordinator or the current Past President with all ideas 
French Content
  • identify needs of French-language teachers (i.e., immersion, Core, Francophone) in drama and dance
  • track translated and French-language resources and make recommendations for future translation
  • identify gaps in resources (i.e., number or variety of resources per panel in drama and dance) that are translated
  • make recommendations for future writing projects or initiatives undertaken by CODE
