Allyson Bradley (Dramatic Arts and Science Teacher, Chinguacouosy Secondary School) and Ciaran Federico (Filmmaker, YouTube Channel Time 2 Do Stuff, York University Students) co-developed The Neurodiversity Project with students back in 2018. This incredible (and important) one-act play shines a spotlight on what it can be like going through high school as a neurodivergent learner.
The play is a springboard for discussing systemic barriers that still exist in drama classrooms. Have you ever wondered if your lessons are inclusive for learners of all neurodivergent and physical abilities? Allyson and Ciaran will highlight best practices for dismantling barriers, and increasing inclusion in drama spaces. The ultimate goal is accessible drama education for all learners, regardless of how they learn and share information!
